Frequently asked questions
Selling your car to us takes five details and about two minutes. Below are answers for Singapore owners selling a car, and for overseas buyers.
Selling your car
What is an LTA access code, and why do you ask for it?
Since 30 June 2025, LTA requires vehicle owners to issue a one-time access code before a dealer or exporter can look up certain details of their car, such as its transfer fee or paper value. With your code we can check those details and make you an accurate offer.
How do I generate an access code?
Open Request Access Code on LTA's OneMotoring website and log in with Singpass. Select your car and enter [to confirm: LTA recipient mobile number (C2)] as the recipient's mobile number. The code appears on your screen and is also sent to us by SMS. It lasts 14 days unless you choose 60 or 180 days.
Do I need the access code before I send my details?
No. Send your details without it. When you generate the code with our number as the recipient, LTA sends it to us by SMS, so you don’t need to send it separately. We need it before we can confirm a final offer.
Why sell to an exporter rather than a dealer?
When you trade a car in with a dealer who then sells it on to an exporter, each business takes a margin. We are the exporter, so there is one step less between your car and its overseas buyer, and no middleman fee.
How quickly will I be paid?
Once we agree a price, you are paid within 3 days.
How long does it take to get an offer?
We reply within [to confirm: reply time (C3)] of receiving your details.
